Wash your car when it is cool and keep it wet until you finish cleaning to avoid water spots. For stubborn stains, use a sponge to apply undiluted car wash soap directly onto the spot let penetrate for 3 to 5 minutes.

When waxing your car, remember: The longer you buff, the better the shine. If you finish buffing and still see some residue patches, park the car in the sun for 5 to 10 minutes and buff again. Just don't let the car become so warm that the wax bakes onto the surface.
