Compact Durable Colored Lenses

This is my favorite light when out hunting. The lenses are standard and easy to use. Anyone who has used LED colored lenses knows what I mean. Plus: the batteries lat for quite a long time and since they are AA They are easy and fast to change out. It's deffinately on my gift list for my brother. Thanks Ravoc!
Which LED flashlight color is right for you?
Customers often ask us about the purpose of having different-colored LED
flashlights. Each LED color has different characteristics that allow for
varied applications. Also, each person has a unique visual acuity and, as a
result, a personal color preference. Colored LEDs are different from a lens
filter because the LED produces pure spectrum color - not dyed or filtered
white light - the LED will only produce the intended wavelength and
therefore offers more reliable results than a lens filter.
Beam color characteristics:
White - White light is a great choice for general use. Everything is viewed
in full color and therefore most similar to "daytime light".
Red - Red light is favored by pilots, sailors, fishermen, and astronomers
for its excellent ability to preserve night vision. Red light is also used
for safety and signaling; red is an internationally recognized attention
color. ~630 nm.
Orange - Orange LED light combines some of the aspects of both red and
yellow light. The light is very bright, doesn't disturb night vision as much
as yellow, and illuminates better than red. ~605 nm.
Green - Green light is nearly as bright as the blue, turquoise, and white
lights but it has a longer battery life. A green LED uses less energy than
other colors and will last longer with one set of batteries. Green light is
often used in place of red for reading maps that have red lines on them (the
red lines would be invisible when using a red light source). ~525 nm.
Blue - The blue beam is tremendously bright. Blue can be used to enhance
contrast and it can also be used to identify some fluids (for
military/industrial applications). ~470 nm.
Purple - Purple bulbs create a black-light effect, making lighter colors
appear bright. Purple bulbs do produce some UV light, which can be harmful
if viewed directly. ~405 nm.
Specialty Lights:
Ultraviolet (UV) - UV light has a variety of specialty applications. It can
be used to: authenticate money, expose imitation art, identify minerals,
follow blood, bacteria and protein trails, authenticate collector glass and
stamps, and accelerate curing glue. Medical staff, law enforcement
personnel, collectors, cashiers and model builders are the main users of UV
lights. ~370 nm.
Infrared (IR) - Infrared light is invisible to the naked eye. When used in
conjunction with night vision equipment, it can illuminate an area in a way
that can only be seen through the night-vision equipment. This type of light
is ONLY useful when used with night vision equipment or other equipment
sensitive to infrared light. ~880 nm.
